Shoulder

Condition Anatomy

The Acromioclavicular (AC) Joint connects the clavicle (collarbone) to the acromion of the scapula. It plays a crucial role in evaluating the shoulder and overhead movement.

Understanding the Injury

AC Joint injuries occur due to direct impact, falls onto the shoulder, or contact sports trauma.

Symptoms include: pain at the top of the shoulder, swelling, a visible bump, and pain with overhead or cross-body movements.
